Saint Remy de Provence, the painters and poets hot spot

Come and discover the many events that give rythm to the town, such as the bull fights (in the bullrings of St Remy), or the sheep migrating festival, the horse fair, but also concerts and exhibitions. When you arrive to the town from the south, discover the important vestiges of the prosperous Gallo-Roman city. They have been uncovered on the site of Glanum. You can complete your visit of the site by going to the Archeological museum, which is located in the residence of the de Sade family. You can also discover the almond trees at the Maison de l’Amandier (another museum), or the ethnology and popular arts of the town, at the Musee des Alpilles.
If you are around St Remy for your property search, please yourself by walking on the streets in the old town centre, where you can admire the 17th and 18th century facades of private residences or go through local shops for regional pottery and local. Prefer Wednesday to go there, because it’s market day! Or avoid market day for a quiet viewing of your future property in Provence!
