Montbron is a very pretty market town in the Charente department, in Nouvelle Aquitaine region. It has been said that the surrounding countryside is reminiscent of parts of Switzerland and even Tuscany! Montbron is located just 1 hour away from Limoges airport with low cost flights to and from the UK. The nearest TGV train station is just 30 minutes away in Angouleme. The high speed TGV train takes 2 hours 10 minutes from Paris to Angouleme.
