Periers is a charming small village with 2,558 inhabitants that has 2 chateaux, a renovated church with elements ranging from the C13 th to C18th, a museum with a collection of 110 bicycles dating from 1817 – 1990, beautiful parks and surrounding landscapes ideal for long walks and horse-riding. Fishing is also popular and there are numerous sports clubs and music societies, as well as a hippodrome. Market day is every Saturday.
