On 22, 23 and 24 March 2019 took place the Xth edition of Saut Hermès at the Grand Palais in Paris. It is an international show jumping competition organized each year by Hermès, a company specializing in luxury goods. The event brings together the world’s 50 best riders to compete in the show jumping events, as well as the world’s best prospects.

The Saut Hermès is an important moment in the year for all lovers of horses. This is an opportunity to meet professionals, discuss the latest trends. This especially allows you to attend high level competitions and enjoy a breathtaking equestrian show.

The Saut Hermès is experiencing its tenth edition, since its launch in 2009. The company has returned to its origins, it has always been close to the equestrian world. Indeed, in the 1950s, competitions were organized with the help of Hermes.

The event is organized at the Grand Palais, on an ephemeral track. The latter is the star of the competitions. It is prepared and maintained with care, so that the tests are linked together. The same goes for the physical integrity of the horses and therefore the performances. The sand must be of quality, its dimensions perfect to ensure the spectacle. The track is smoothed between each competition, the humidity of the air is checked, everything is under the control of the organizers.

The main event, the Hermes Grand Prix, takes place on Sunday afternoons. The height of the obstacles and the requirement make it one of the most difficult events of the international circuit. It was won by Frenchman Simon DELESTRE in 34 seconds and 68 hundredths.

Saturday evening, from 19h, is open to the public. An event is organized, the Faubourg CSI 5 *. It’s a speed race without barrier with progressive difficulty with Jocker. Each rider rides a single horse. Switzerland’s Pius Schwizer won the event in 44 seconds.
