Somme

Somme (80) is a French department in the Hauts de France region. It is located in Northern France, North of Paris. As many French departments, its name comes from the river Somme, which runs through the department. You will be able to find various types of property for sale in Somme.

History:
The settlement of pre-Neanderthal man in Somme dates back 300,000 years. There are remains of this period in Amiens and Cagny.

The maccaron is a speciality from Amiens, as the city has fruits, almonds and honey. The Ficelle Picarde is a dish made of crepes and mushrooms, baked in the oven.
