Cancelled and delayed events in France in 2020 due to Coronavirus
Coronavirus has been affecting the whole world right now. More than 2 billion people are confined at home, and this has been affecting the culture industry a lot as they rely on… well, people going outside to visit the events planned. Sadly, this summer has seen a lot of its events cancelled in France just like anywhere else. But don’t worry, we’re going to shed some light by giving details about events which are not cancelled but only delayed!

Destinations Nature 2020, the outdoor sports fair Porte de Versailles
Destinations Nature, the outdoor meeting place, should have been held from 12 to 15 March 2020 at the Porte de Versailles in Paris. This year, the show will unfortunately not take place due to the Coronavirus epidemic that has been raging around the world since the beginning of the year.
The Paris Pastry Fair 2020
The biggest Pastry Fair should have returned to Paris for a third edition from 20 to 22 June 2020, Porte de Versailles. With its 7 universes, 200 exhibitors and 6,000 m2 of surface area, it is the show not to be missed. Get out your diaries with a sweet tooth, this edition promises to be even more gourmet and festive. Unfortunately, the show has been cancelled due to the current coronavirus epidemic.
Art Paris 2020 at the Grand Palais
Due to the Coronavirus epidemic, Art Paris, the major contemporary art fair, which was to be held at the Grand Palais from April 2 to 5, 2020, was first postponed from May 28 to 31, 2020, before finally being cancelled. This not-to-be-missed gathering of contemporary art in Paris promises some great discoveries, with an exploration of Barcelona, Lisbon, Madrid and Porto this year.
Delayed events
Goût de France 2020
This event, which assembles 5,000 chefs and 150 embassies from the 5 continents should have realized a dinner on April 16th 2020: however, this has been delayed to october 2020. Alain Ducasse and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs honour the French art of living and wish the whole world a “Bon appétit” for dinner.
Art Shopping 2020 at the Carrousel du Louvre
The Art Shopping exhibition, which was originally scheduled to take place at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris from April 3 to 5, has finally been postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic.
Taste of Paris 2020 at the Grand Palais
Taste of Paris, THE festival of chefs and gourmets scheduled at the Grand Palais from 14 to 17 May 2020 is finally postponed from 10 to 13 December 2020. For 4 days, the best of gastronomy will be tasted in one and the same place. Parisian chefs from all over the world gather in the capital’s most beautiful setting: the Grand Palais. A lounge maintained despite the Coronavirus, with limited access to 4200 people per session.
Roland Garros
The famous tenis tournament has of course also been cancelled for this summer: however, it has bene postponed to october 2020.
At least, autumn and winter seemed like promising seasons with all of these events postponed to these dates!
