The Vendee Globe in Les Sables d’Olonne – 18th October

The Vendee Globe is a famous nautic race, in which 60-feet boats take part. The skippers start and arrive in Les Sables d’Olonne, in Vendee. On this 43,000 km route, they have no assistance and nor overhaul. They will head for the Cape of Good Hope (Atlantic Ocean), the Cape Leewin (Antarctica), and the Cape Horn. If you miss the boat departure in October, you can still attend the arrival in February! There is something new in this year Vendee Globe edition, that is to say there will be different exhibitions every week of the month:
From October 18th to 23rd: the Vendee Active week (about tourism and local produce in Vendee)
From October 24th to 30th: the Sea and Yachting week
From October 31st to November 9th: both topics, for latecomers!
