Eymet is situated on the river Dropt, in the southern part of the Perigord and the western region of the “Bastide Country”. It is a village of Dordogne department, in Aquitaine region. Canoe hire is available at the Mill in Eymet where you can hire a canoe for an exceptionally good rate of 7 euros/hr. There are some stunning castles such as the Château de Lanquais and Château de Duras which are a must see; both of which are within 30 minutes from Eymet. Look out for local markets too which have a different location depending on the day of the week. In the summer there is also a lively night market on Tuesdays.
